Our coaches will help you FEEL Amazing

Meet the team that’s dedicated to making your goals a reality.

our story

I founded Boyneside Gym in 2014 because I wanted Boyneside to become much more than just a gym provided access or that offered awesome coaching – I envisioned a true home that brings together people from all backgrounds, coming together under one roof as part of a shared journey.

As much as my team of coaches and I value and practice safe, smart, and effective approaches to fitness and nutrition, we know the magic that ties it all together is being part of a community of like-minded people supporting each other every step of the way. We are here to celebrate your successes and encourage you when things get hard (as they inevitably will), helping you make each day better than the day before.

Our mission is to help our community build happier, healthier lives through eating, moving, and living better by facilitating lasting change.

As a team, we dare greatly, push each other to overcome obstacles and have fun along the way. In our opinion, the secret is building lasting friendships with amazing people is through sweat, tears, and laughter.

We approach training with a lifelong perspective, which is incredibly important! We are here to help build you up, not break you down. Selecting the correct workouts, teaching you to listen to your body, making you feel comfortable asking coaches for help. All to improve health, fitness, and happiness in an environment that is fun, caring, motivating, and inclusive.

Noeleen

COACH

Noeleen holds master’s degrees in Exercise and Nutrition Science, Learning, and Teaching. She has almost 30 years of experience in the fitness industry, working as a group fitness instructor, personal trainer, Pilates teacher, and more recently, a Yoga teacher.

She loves to exercise and enjoys variety in her training week. She is enthusiastic about making exercise accessible to everyone and has a particular interest in working with those referred by their GP for health-related issues.

Caoilin

Coach

Caoilin is a health and physical activity student and our resident strength and conditioning coach at Boyneside. His drive to help others reach their potential makes him an excellent fit for our coaching team.

Passionate about strength and fitness, Caoilin found his love for strength training when lifting weights to improve his performance on the rugby pitch. Reaching goals both inside and out of the weight room lit a fire under him to help others achieve their goals.

Caoilin has competed in powerlifting and has plans to compete in strongman, with goals to compete against the strongest in the country. He trains regularly with our powerlifting team, who all try to bring the best out of each other when training. Caoilin is also a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu enthusiast and enjoys playing rugby with Dundalk RFC.

With a deep interest in the technical aspect of training, Caoilin loves to take the time with our members to really break down movements and work from the ground up. Taking pride in seeing our members progressing, reaching goals, and getting better every time they step in the gym, Caoilin also enjoys helping members reach their goals outside the gym where he can.

A country boy from the heart of the Cooley peninsula, Caoilin makes his way to the “big city” of Drogheda every day to train or help out at the gym. When not coaching, Caoilin can also be found rolling around the gym floor practicing his jiu-jitsu skills on Coach Luke between classes.

John

Coach

John holds qualifications in physical therapy, sports science, and natural medicine.

He has a keen interest in strength and conditioning with a specialisation in Eastern European methods.

Other interests include reading, eating/supplementation, and mountaineering.
